Welcome to the Ann Arbor Flexible Carpooling home page!
We have an idea that Ann Arbor could be the 'Carpooling Capital of the World'. We'd like to meet with people interested in helping this to happen. We are seeking a local implementation partner.
My name is Paul Minett. I am the co-developer of this new mode of transport that we call flexible carpooling. I was recently in Ann Arbor for a conference at UM about 'new mobility'. While there I met with local officials to discuss flexible carpooling for Ann Arbor. I also had a table at the Mayor's Green Fair. About 60 people stopped by the stand and took our flyer: A Better Way To Get To Work.
Good things take time, and flexible carpooling is no different. We need to find out if local people are interested in a solution that would make flexible carpooling or flexible vanpooling a convenient daily choice. It would save energy, reduce congestion, and reduce the carbon footprint. (Also we think it will be fun). Then we need to get support from local transportation authorities. Then we need to find funding, and identify routes. The first route will be a pilot project.
How can you help? Click to:

Till next time,
