Welcome to the Seattle Flexible Carpooling home page!
Many people are working to bring flexible carpooling to Seattle. Our local implementation partner is Commuter Challenge, a long time supporter of better commuting in Seattle.
We still have a ways to go. We need to source funding to get the first project off the ground. In total we need to raise $300,000, and Commuter Challenge is applying to various sources such as Foundations to get these funds. At the moment we have $300,000 left to raise. And we need to choose the route for the first project(s).
How can you help? Click to:
- Register your support for flexible carpooling in Seattle.
- Tell us what would be the best route for the first flexible carpooling implementation in Seattle.
- Print off our flyer and put it on your notice board. Ask others to support your route or suggest their own.
You might have heard that we were offered $86,000 from the WSDOT Trip Reduction Performance Program (TRPP). This is true but because we didn't manage to raise the balance of the needed funds in time we had to decline their offer. As soon as we reach our target we will go back to WSDOT.
